The decades of hard work done to legalize cannabis has been a difficult and lengthy struggle. A key part of this struggle revolved around the psychoactive properties of cannabis.
The psychotropic component in cannabis, THC, causes the “high” effect of the drug. Further, in some rare cases, it can cause an unhealthy relationship with the drug itself.
However, new studies show that it is possible to separate at least one non-psychotropic pain relief component in cannabis from the THC. With this component in hand, there would be a large drop in the opposition against the drug as it acts as a strong painkiller without the high.
